Is red light therapy safe?

Red light therapy is widely considered safe for most healthy adults when used as directed. It uses non-ionising light with no UV component — so there's no risk of sunburn or radiation damage. As with any wellness service, we recommend consulting your GP if you have specific medical concerns before starting.

What age do I need to be?

Our red light therapy service is for adults aged 18 and over. This is a standard guideline across professional red light studios and is a firm policy we uphold without exception.

Can I use red light if I have a medical condition?

If you have any existing medical conditions — including epilepsy, active cancer, pregnancy, or are on photosensitive medications — please consult your doctor before booking. Red light therapy is a wellness service, not a substitute for medical treatment. We always recommend checking with your GP if you are unsure.

How often should I come?

For most skin and wellness goals, 2–3 sessions per week is a commonly cited starting frequency. Many members begin with a short course of sessions and adjust based on how they feel and what they're working on. We're happy to advise when you visit.

How long is a session?

Sessions are typically 10–15 minutes. Short enough to genuinely fit into a busy day, consistent enough to make a real difference over time.

Is red light the same as a sunbed?

Absolutely not — they are completely different technologies. Sunbeds use ultraviolet light to darken melanin and carry known health risks including increased cancer risk. Red light therapy uses specific non-UV wavelengths with an entirely different biological mechanism. There is no tanning effect and no UV exposure involved whatsoever.

Do I need to remove my clothing?

You can choose how much skin to expose — the more skin in direct contact with the light, the more effective the session. Our studio is fully private and comfortable. We'll walk you through what makes sense for your goals.

What should I expect in my first session?

Your first session is relaxed and completely pressure-free. We welcome you, walk you through how the bed works, and answer any questions. You simply lie in a warm, private space for 10–15 minutes. Most people feel calm and refreshed when they leave.
